This bachelor thesis inquires into the reflection of "The Battle of the Symbols of the University" on the pages of Přítomnost. It charts editor's offices stances to nationalism is the Czechoslovak society in the first half of 1930's. The thesis insists on the representative choice of articles of Přítomnost and on archive materials to describe the event. The objective of the work is to bring the sum of stances of magazine to the students, nationalism, relation between Czech and Germen people an "The Battle of the Symbols of the University" in the first half of 1930's.
